Ivy Ash is a trouble maker who grew up in ponyville, and still lives there today. 
She's known for pulling not so innocent pranks around town, and doesn't really appreciate many things she has. She feel's she can be better, and she feels that her cutie mark isn't right, because even though she was raised to be a gardener, she would like for her talent to be something else.
When she became the age of 14, she stared to die her mane and tail black, and and have a blue streak in her mane. She believed it looked cool, and that her new style would keep her eyes away from her cutie mark.
At the age of 16 she moved out of her family's house, and moved closer to the Everfree Forest.
What Ivy doesn't know is that there are ponies in Ponyville that could help her understand life, and she could have real close friends. But that will be sometime in the future...
